Architectural Signage For The New Geneva Public Library District Delivers Big on Style
Luxurious Library
Tucked among a charming neighborhood in Geneva, Illinois, is Geneva Public Library District, a new public library that blends natural architectural elements with a modern aesthetic.
The 57,000-square-foot building has a variety of meeting areas, a community art gallery, and outdoor reading spaces. It also features an enhanced children’s area and lab spaces for older students to use technology and learn new skills.
Working with the architectural firm Studio GC and the library team, our sign team was part of the design-build process. The architectural sign package was designed and produced in-house and included exterior signage, interior signage with dimensional graphics, donor wall signage, whimsical environmental signage designs for the children’s zone, and vinyl on glass.

Exterior Signage
Custom masonry and a graphics panel on the exterior monument sign welcome guests to the new Geneva Public Library District. On the building, dimensional letters in aluminum dimensional lettering complement the stone exterior.
“The building is gorgeous,” says Dan Salamone, our Chicago sign expert. “The environment is very uplifting with great natural light and high-quality finishes throughout. We’re proud that our signage designs could add to the library’s serene environment.”
Donor Wall Signage
A public library is a huge part of the community, and the Geneva Public Library District wanted to thank its many generous donors with a donor wall. Our design team designed a two-part donor wall with acrylic panels on the wall and a digital screen framed in wood to match other monitors throughout the building.
The digital screen within the donor wall features major donors along with their bios and other interesting information. Paired with the digital screen are donor wall panels that range in size depending on the size of the charitable gift. This combination of static and digital signage allows the library to easily update the donor wall with future campaigns.
Interior Signage Finds Some Fun
“My favorite signage on this project is definitely the ‘Kids Landing.’ The whimsical designs really set the mood and lead to the experience of the space for true environmental design.”
These unique design elements were created with panels and graphics to create custom looks and geometric designs. Like the structure that surrounds the entrance to Kids Landing, inviting kids to get swept away into the fun-filled storybook area.
ADA signage, wayfinding signage, and room identifiers that suit the library’s contemporary vibe were also designed and installed throughout the library.
