As this year comes to a close, we take a moment to reflect and share our great appreciation to all of you for our successes of 2016. Giving a nod to each of our regional offices, it was difficult to choose a featured project for the year. We think you’ll like these! Get ready to see some beautiful signs!

Illinois: Conagra Headquarters

Conagra relocated their main headquarters staff from Omaha and Naperville, into a new 170,000 sq ft space in the landmark Merchandise Mart building in Chicago, Illinois with a sign program designed by renowned architectural firm Perkins + Will. The plaque portion of the signs consists of an aluminum frame with a wood room number panel and wood interior back panel, each custom made, and a clear acrylic lens that features a digitally printed acetate name insert. The wood panels were custom dyed to achieve a specific finish and grain detail. The dimensional logo sign featured in the main reception space has multiple custom color dye finishes. The choice of wood as a sign material was an element chosen due to the use of natural materials and finishes featured throughout the office interiors.

Iowa: University of Iowa Hancher Auditorium

Hancher Auditorium, the premier performing arts venue in Eastern Iowa, was destroyed in 2008 in an historic 100-year flood. The new home for this premier performing arts center opened in September 2016 with a highly efficient and sustainable design. The interior signage was designed with complimentary stainless steel and wood that carried the custom environmental graphics heavy package. Donor recognition also played a key role in this facility. Through careful negotiations and value-engineering recommendations, Latitude was able to offer solutions for high end performing products that also meet a very tight timeline for installation before their public open house.

Nebraska: Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) rebrand

Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI), located in Nebraska, is one of the nations largest nonprofit health systems and recently completed a system-wide rebranding initiative. Latitude collaborated with CHI and Monigle Associates for the implementation of the new brand across 10 hospital campuses, and 27 medical clinics and smaller facilities. The process included prototyping several key sign types and conducting site surveys of all sign locations. Latitude successfully completed removal of all existing signs and installation of the new sign system within a four month timeline, coinciding with the new brand rollout.

Colorado: Community Hospital of Grand Junction

Community Hospital of Grand Junction is a full service hospital that is part of the Colorado West Healthcare System. With their endearing commitment to their patients and their community, it is easy to see why Community Hospital of Grand Junction is a leader in the healthcare market. Working closely with the architect, Latitude was able to bring elements of a large environmental graphics piece into the interior signage design; featured accent panels display a watermark pattern of the local land topography. Latitude provided all interior, exterior and wayfinding signage for this beautiful new four-story, state of the art hospital.
