Meet Justin Halverson, Business Development Manager & Colorado Signage Expert
Justin Halverson is a seasoned Business Development Manager at Latitude Signage + Design, bringing deep expertise and a passion for signage that elevates brands and enhances client experiences. He has built his career from hands-on beginnings into a trusted resource for clients in the corporate, education, and healthcare sectors alike.
A Strong Foundation of Signage Expertise
Justin’s journey in signage began early. At age 16, he started mowing lawns and taking out the trash at Latitude headquarters in Grinnell, Iowa, but it didn’t stay that way for long. He began learning about the printing process by reclaiming screens from the silkscreen department. As he learned the ropes of digital printing and sign production, his interest in the craft grew.
After earning a degree in graphic technologies and digital printing (while working part-time at Latitude in college), Justin continued to refine his skills and worked in the digital printing department full-time for three years. Later, he added a marketing degree to his toolkit. That foundation prepared him for a career guiding clients through thoughtful sign solutions that balance branding goals, spatial challenges, and budgets.
Justin’s Approach to Client Partnerships
“Figuring out the individual challenges my clients have isn’t just about adding another sign,” Justin says. “It’s about making a brand shine and navigating space with signage that is thoughtfully designed for a client’s space and on budget.”
With nearly two decades in the industry, Justin blends technical understanding with strategic insight. He’s well-versed in fabrication, digital printing, ADA signage standards, and installation, and he uses this experience to help make the signage process easier for his clients.
Justin frequently works on projects that require detailed branding and thoughtful wayfinding solutions. His ability to manage large, complex projects while still focusing on the little things that matter most to clients sets him apart.
“There are a million tips and tricks for what works, and more importantly, what doesn’t work. When you come to me asking for an idea or with an idea, know that I have the experience to make the right recommendations and the team that can execute on it.”
Signature Projects
Justin’s career has taken him to Colorado, where he now leads signage projects and builds strong client partnerships. One standout for Justin has been the work with the Air Force Academy Athletics program. This project was not just about installing signs. It was about transforming the athletic facilities using dynamic graphics that enhance the cadet experience and support recruitment. Elements like framed fabric graphics, which can be quickly updated, brought fresh life to hallways that once lacked visual impact.
He also takes pride in seeing projects long after they are completed.
“There’s a bank in my hometown that I manufactured signs for back in 2008, and it always makes me proud to drive by them when I’m back home,” he says. “They haven’t changed a bit since the day I made them. Knowing that I sell a quality product that can last makes my job so much easier.”
Beyond the Office
Outside of work, Justin is a passionate sports fan, cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Iowa Hawkeyes, Utah Jazz, and Colorado Avalanche. Weekends often find him outdoors with his wife, Erin, hiking and exploring. He also enjoys woodworking and listening to a good debate on one of his many favorite sports talk shows.
With a blend of creative experience, technical know-how, and a client-first philosophy, Justin is here to help organizations tell their stories through thoughtful, effective signage.
