Meet Matt Seidl, Business Development Manager & Central Iowa Signage Expert
Matt brings a fresh perspective, a genuine connection, and a commitment to doing what he says every step of the way.
Bringing an Outsider’s Perspective to the Midwest Signage Scene
A native of Des Moines, Iowa, Matt joined Latitude with a strong desire to learn and grow within the architectural signage world. Though he came into the industry from outside the signage space, Matt hit the ground running, absorbing the ins and outs of every type of sign that goes into a successful project.
What Matt enjoys most about his role isn’t just the work itself; it’s the people. Having previously worked in larger corporate environments where many colleagues were spread across the globe, Matt finds Latitude’s close-knit culture refreshing and energizing. Building relationships with co-workers, design partners, and clients alike is one of his favorite parts of the job.
Matt’s Approach to Client Partnership
Matt’s work is grounded in collaboration. “There are literally decades of experience all around me. There’s really nothing that can’t be figured out,” he says. “Curating knowledge and presenting options to clients on how to achieve their goals is key.”
He describes himself in three words: loyal, dependable, and independent — qualities that shape how he works and connects with others. Understanding client goals and working collaboratively with the seasoned designers and production teams at Latitude ensures that every project, big or small, has a solid foundation for success.
Signature Projects
Among Matt's favorite projects is the pedestrian bridge at Iowa State University. Spanning a quarter mile across University Boulevard in Ames, Iowa, the open-air bridge connects pre-game parking lots with Jack Trice Stadium, creating a safer gameday experience.
He is also proud of Surf District signage, which acts as a gateway into Clear Lake, Iowa's, cultural landmark where Buddy Holly played his last show.
Beyond the Office
When he’s not helping clients develop smart, strategic signage plans, Matt stays active in his community. He enjoys coaching girls tennis at Dowling Catholic High School, riding his bike (and participating in RAGBRAI), and spending time with his wife, Ali, and daughter Annie.
His blend of curiosity and commitment makes him a key part of the team and a partner clients look to who truly listens and delivers.
